Denmark intends to “do everything it can” to reach an agreement with the United States on Greenland, short of handing over the island, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said on Monday. Asked about the possibility of handing over Greenland to the United States, Frederiksen said such a thing would be unthinkable. “No, it is unthinkable,” she said in an interview with the “Maischberger” program on German public broadcaster ARD.
