Green Mountain Transit to phase out the #4 Essex Center bus in August; residents react to changes
Green Mountain Transit’s board of commissioners voted to phase out service to the #4 Essex Center bus route yesterday morning, June 16. The #4 will be eliminated in two phases. GMT will reduce service of the #4 by 50% in August 2026 when schedules are biannually updated, and the remaining service will terminate in the winter of 2027.
