The new Greek Minister of Immigration, Thanos Plevris, is choosing strong words and tough measures. Illegal migrants will no longer be granted asylum but risk imprisonment or immediate deportation. "This is the end of the fairy tale," says Plevris.

At a meeting of European Union interior ministers on Tuesday, Greece presented its plan to curb illegal migration, which includes the creation of centers to hold migrants outside Europe.
