Grass fire consumes stuck car near Meadow Lane east of Detroit Lakes

DETROIT LAKES — Detroit Lakes firefighters responded to a car fire on Thursday, July 23 in a field between Paula Street and Meadow Drive just east of Detroit Lakes. There did not appear to be any injuries in the fire, which started when a stuck vehicle caught the grass on fire, and the flames spread to consume the car, according to the Becker County Sheriff’s Office dispatch log.
