Reynolds: Rules Won’t Fix Water Woes

CENTRAL IOWA, JUL 13 – Governor Reynolds rejects regulatory approaches despite Iowa facing some of the nation's highest nitrate pollution linked to agricultural runoff, prompting water use restrictions for 600,000 residents.

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds this week said regulation is not the answer to address high nitrate levels in Iowa’s drinking water, and that farmers are already adopting conservation practices voluntarily.
