OREGON, UNITED STATES, JUL 24 – The law ensures at least $205 million over two years to expand shelter capacity and support homeless Oregonians, replacing temporary emergency funding with a permanent framework.
- On Thursday, Governor Tina Kotek signed House Bill 3644 into law, establishing Oregon’s first permanent statewide shelter program at Just Compassion Shelter & Resource Center in Tigard.
