SANTA FE, N.M. — Democratic Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham appointed a Republican to fill the vacant seat in New Mexico Senate District 33. The governor appointed Republican Rex Wilson to fill the seat Nicholas Paul left vacant in December. Paul, who is also a Republican, resigned from the state Senate over health concerns. ALAMOGORDO, New Mexico (KVIA) -- New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has appointed former Lincoln County Commissioner Rex Wilson to represent State Senate District 33.
