The “Chile Despega” program seeks to create 100,000 new employees by the end of 2027, with an investment of more than USD 1 billion.
The leaders of CPC, the CChC, the National Multigremial, the SNA and the CNC appreciated the measures, but asked to complement them with laws that facilitate recruitment, more certainty to invest and a greater focus on SMEs.
The biministro de Economía y Minería estimated that the first 50,000 new jobs would have an impact of 0.5 points on unemployment by December.
The initiative envisages mobilizing $1.3 billion to boost recruitment, inject labor capital into suppliers, and accelerate infrastructure projects to address the labor crisis. It reviews the four pillars presented by the government.
