Bolivia intervened with the National Hydrocarbon Agency (ANH), one day after doing the same with the state oil company YPFB.
Bolivia’s president, Rodrigo Paz, said Thursday that his government’s intervention in the state oil company YPFB and the hydrocarbon regulator was “necessary” to “end corruption” and ensure the supply of fuels, which has been irregular in recent weeks.
The measure is implemented under Supreme Decree 5699 to investigate irregularities in distribution and lack of traceability. The entry government intervenes ANH for deficiencies in the regulation of fuel was first published in La Patria Bolivia Digital newspaper.
