What’s the hubbub over spending $2.3 million on upkeep of Government House, the governor’s official residence (“Taxpayers fund $2.3M in repairs to Maryland governor’s mansion under Moore,” Aug. 3)? It’s a state-owned building so the state needs to pay for maintenance. By my calculation, that cost amounts to 37 cents from every resident of Maryland.
