The mayor of Coamo, Juan Carlos García Padilla, stated this Wednesday that the warning issued by the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA) regarding the reduction in the levels of several reservoirs and the possibility of extending water rationing reinforces his opposition to connecting new residential developments to the system that is supplied by the Toa Vaca reservoir.
The Government of Puerto Rico is evaluating to expand the plan of scheduled interruptions of the drinking water service in the face of the decrease in the levels of several reservoirs, after the National Weather Service alerted about the critical situation facing the eastern region of the island.
