The lack of patent plates became a headache for thousands of citizens across the country. Even in recent months, seeing cars running without identification became commonplace in big cities. The collapse of the system, they said in the government, took place in mid-2023 "because of the economic crisis, the obstacles to imports and the concentration of service in a single state supplier".
The Ministry of Justice referred to the shortage in the country and noted that "for the first time in years, there will be stock insured throughout the country to respond to the growing demand for vehicles."
