Gov. Gen. Arbour set to mark 9/11 anniversary in Gander, NL

Governor General Louise Arbour will visit Gander, Newfoundland and Labrador, on September 11 to mark the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
Her five-day visit, starting September 8, will include meetings with provincial officials and Indigenous leaders.
During the 9/11 attacks, around 7,000 passengers were diverted to Gander airport, where local residents provided food, shelter, and essentials.
The story of Gander's hospitality inspired the Broadway musical "Come From Away.
