Update of Disaster Risk Reduction Plans in 18 Communes in the Valparaiso Region

The United Nations Development Programme presented a proposal for the continuation of this initiative focused on updating the Community Disaster Risk Management Plans for 18 new communes in the Valparaiso region.

In order to continue to collaborate in strengthening the institutional and socio-community capacities of the municipalities of the region in the area of disaster risk management and prevention, the Valparaíso Regional Government, together with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), has worked with the Association of Municipalities of the Valparaíso Region to develop and update disaster risk reduction plans (DRPs) at the communal level.
