The Archaeology and Paleontology section of the Gipuzkoa Heritage Collections Center, Gordailua, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary, houses around 700,000 remains from interventions carried out in the historical territory.
The building that houses the archaeological and paleontological heritage of Gipuzkoa was opened in 2011, under the name of the Gipuzkoa Heritage Collections Centre. In 2014, the Basque Government officially granted it the status of a depository for archaeological and paleontological materials acquired during interventions in Gipuzkoa.
