Gophers men’s hockey falls in NCAA tournament after close loss

The Gophers men’s hockey season ended after an overtime loss against the University of Massachusetts in the NCAA Fargo Regional semifinals on Thursday.  The Gophers (25-11-4) were the No. 2 seed in the tournament while UMass (20-13-5) was the No. 3 seed.  Minnesota did not play a game for 18 days before going to the regionals.
