GOP senator on Iran school strike: ‘A terrible, terrible mistake’

Summary
Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) on Tuesday said that a strike on an all-girls school in Iran that killed around 175 people, which President Trump blamed on Tehran, was a mistake. Airstrikes hit the Shajarah Tayyebeh elementary school, located in the city of Minab in southern Iran, on Feb. 28, when the U.S.-Israeli joint strikes began in the region. The military operation also attacked a nearby Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) naval base, according to an analysis from The Associated Press.
