Golfers from Auburn, Oklahoma share low-amateur honors at US Open

A pair of SEC golfers had a week to remember at the US Open. Auburn’s Jackson Koivun and Oklahoma’s Ryder Cowan tied for 23rd at the US Open, shooting 5-over par at the difficult Shinnecock Hills course in New York. With that score, Koivun and Cowan were the best-performing amateurs at the event this weekend.
