Gold prices were steady on Wednesday. Spot gold was little changed at $4,159.62 per ounce by 00:38 GMT. U.S. gold futures for December delivery were also unchanged at $4,187.30. Among other precious metals, silver fell 0.6% to $61.32, while platinum rose 0.4% to $1,707.65, and palladium slipped 0.1% to $1,170.75.
While investor positions are weakening in the gold market, strong buying by central banks and institutional investors continues to support prices. Deutsche Bank stated that while the risk of selling persists in the short term, the upward outlook for gold remains in the medium term, and copper has even stronger upside potential.
