Golden naked Trump statue installed at European Parliament
The satirical work criticizes Trump’s climate policies and is accompanied by 1,000 3D-printed miniatures, the artist said.
- A 2.5-meter satirical statue of US President Donald Trump was installed at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France. Titled "Orange Plague," the figure is coated in 23-karat gold and depicts the leader sitting on a man's shoulders.
- Danish artist Jens Galschiot created the sculpture, also known as the "King of Injustice." Accompanying cards explain the figure is "sitting on the back of a man" who is sinking under the burden.
- Left-Wing Danish European Parliament member Per Clausen invited the artist to display the work. Dismissing potential criticism, Clausen stated, "If someone is so thin-skinned that they cannot tolerate this sculpture being exhibited in the European Parliament, then they have no place on the world stage.
