US Edition‘Godzilla Minus Zero’ Sets Fall Theatrical Release
- On Nov. 6, GKIDS will release Godzilla Minus Zero in North America, following Toho's Japan premiere on Nov. 3.
- The sequel builds on Godzilla Minus One's Best Visual Effects win at the 96th Academy Awards and marks GKIDS' second North American release after Toho's 2024 acquisition.
- Production at Toho Studios is already underway with Robot producing and Shirogumi handling visual effects, while Takashi Yamazaki returns as director, screenwriter and VFX supervisor.
- Toho noted the release comes just three days after Japan, a rare near-simultaneous bow, and David Jesteadt, President at GKIDS, said the company is proud to bring the film to North American audiences.
- With franchise momentum building, Godzilla Minus One earned $56 million in North America and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire grossed over $572 million worldwide.
