US EditionGM Streamlines Public Charging with Electrify America
GM EV drivers can now access over 5,000 Electrify America fast chargers and 250,000 public chargers across North America directly via Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac apps.
- On Jan. 26, 2026, General Motors announced integration of Electrify America into the myChevrolet, myGMC and myCadillac apps, allowing owners to find, navigate to, initiate, and pay for charging.
- As part of its charging push, GM says the integration supports broader plans to expand infrastructure and get drivers back on the road faster, Wade Sheffer, vice president, GM Energy, said.
- The integration covers over 5,000 Electrify America DC fast chargers and more than 250,000 public chargers across the U.S. and Canada, including 350-kW Hyper-Fast chargers.
- GM EV owners benefit because they can delete charging apps and use the myBrand suite of apps, which centralizes charging without multiple apps or credit cards.
- Looking beyond GM, Electrify America LLC is investing more than $2 billion in ZEV infrastructure and operates in 47 states and the District of Columbia despite industry headwinds.
