The Director General of the National Road Infrastructure Management Company (CNAIR), Cristian Pistol, announces that the reception for the computer system that allows electronic payment at the Giurgiu-Ruse bridge has been made, which will become operational on June 15.
The electronic payment system of the transit fee on the Giurgiu-Ruse Bridge is to become operational from 15 June 2026. Called eTarifGiurgiuPod, it allows online or mobile payment of the fare and has as main objective the flow of traffic and the reduction of waiting times at the road border between Romania and Bulgaria.
An important step for the modernisation of road traffic at the Romanian-Bulgarian border was taken on Thursday, 4 June, with the reception of the eTarifGiurgiuPod (eTGP) computer system, aimed at digitizing the payment of the bridge crossing fee over Danube in the direction of Giurgiu–Ruse.
