Christian Scaroni won the 16th stage of the Giro d'Italia from Piazzola sul Brenta to San Valentino (Brentonico) of 203 kilometers. At the finish Scaroni arrived holding hands with his teammate Lorenzo Fortunato. Third was Giulio Pellizzari. (ANSA)
