According to the North Rhine-Westphalian state criminal office, the organizing society of the tournament is accused of having offered tickets to employees of the host cities without permission.
On 1 July several town halls in NRW were searched. The focus of the measure is Gelsenkirchen. This was about corruption accusations at the EM 2024.
