This year, the German School Prize goes to Bertha-von-Suttner-Schule in Mörfelden-Walldorf southwest of Frankfurt. At the handover, Chancellor Merz called teachers the "most important professional group in the country".
Only 15 per cent of the children have a high school recommendation, but two thirds of them are high school graduates: Bertha-von-Suttner-Schule in Mörfelden-Walldorf receives the school prize for its concept. Six more schools were awarded.
