The bacterium Bacillus cereus can cause food poisoning.
Consuming it can cause illness with vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and other digestive symptoms.

Lidl Hungary has announced a product recall after the presence of Bacillus cereus bacteria was detected in a popular chocolate-flavored, high-protein pudding. According to the National Trade and Consumer Protection Authority (NKFH), the affected product will be withdrawn from circulation and recalled from customers.
According to the European Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF), a notification was issued on August 21 regarding a chocolate protein pudding containing the bacterium Bacillus cereus.
