Germany has dislocated two military ships in the Red Sea in order to prepare for a possible demining mission in the Strait of Ormuz, announced on Thursday the German Minister of Defence, Boris Pistorius, on the arrival at the meeting of NATO ministers in Brussels.
Two German Navy ships are already en route. However, the basic conditions for the actual deployment still need to be clarified.
The Bundeswehr has moved two naval ships to the Red Sea. They should be ready for a possible deployment in the Strait of Hormus. Whether there is actually a mine clearance operation there is still open.
