In view of the threat of a military escalation between the US and Iran, the Bundeswehr is withdrawing further soldiers from northern Iraq.
The situation in Iran could continue to worsen. The United States is using heavy guns in the region, President Trump is continuing his threat of attack. Now, it appears that the Bundeswehr is reacting and is withdrawing additional personnel from neighbouring Iraq.
German soldiers are supposed to support the construction of the army in Iraq. But now the Bundeswehr is withdrawing forces from the country again. The reason is probably the fear of an escalation between the US and Iran.
