The police have concluded the search operations in and around the Gelderland village of Overasselt. On September 1, an armed group of men went to a property where Jan G., a criminal convicted of drug production, lived. A shootout ensued in which a security guard was killed and two police officers were injured. According to the municipality of Heumen, "dozens of weapons" and other suspicious items have been found since then.

The transfer will involve intense security measures, as Jan G.'s life is in danger following an attack on his home in Overasselt followed by death threats, De Telegraaf reported.
Jan G., whose farm in Overasselt was attacked by a heavily armed drug gang, will be extradited from Germany to our country shortly.
