A 65-year-old German man was severely assaulted in the Bavarian town of Höchberg because he was wearing a pin with the Israeli flag. A 20-year-old Syrian man reportedly approached him first and then suddenly attacked him. The victim sustained, among other injuries, a fractured vertebra. German authorities are investigating the case as attempted murder. The suspect is in custody.
