On Thursday evening a 58-year-old German man died in the area under the Masi della Muta, above Tyrol, after moving away from his group for a solo hike. The family members, not seeing him return, gave the alarm. Immediately began the search operations, which involved the alpine rescue of the finance guard, the carabinieri, the helicopter of Aiut Alpin Dolomites, with emergency doctor, the fire department, the dogs and drone operators.
The 66-year-old fell over alpine terrain on the descent from the Gimpelhaus in the district of Reutte and suffered severe injuries.
