(The Center Square) – Nearly 5.5 million are in Georgia's labor force and 5.3 million of those are employed, a record number, the Department of Labor said Thursday.

Georgia reached new all-time highs for both its labor force and employment in July, while the state’s unemployment rate declined to 3.3%, according to new figures from the Georgia Department of Labor.
