GENESIS REVEALS U.S. PRICING FOR GV60 MAGMA, BRAND'S FIRST HIGH-PERFORMANCE MODEL

Genesis says the 641-horsepower crossover adds track-ready features and driver-focused technology as it expands into the high-performance EV segment.

  • On Wednesday, Genesis announced the 2027 GV60 Magma, its first high-performance electric vehicle, with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $69,950. The SUV brings the brand's "Athletic Elegance" design philosophy to the United States market.
  • Equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, the Magma produces over 600 horsepower, with up to 641 horsepower and 583 lb.-ft. of torque in Boost Mode. Aerodynamic enhancements including canards and exclusive 21-inch wheels improve stability and control.
  • Inside, the cabin features the brand's first performance bucket seats finished in microsuede with orange accent stitching. Like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, the vehicle includes a virtual transmission that recreates gear-shifting sensations using simulated jolts.
  • The new model will reach select retailers in California, New Jersey, and New York in the coming weeks. Prospective buyers are encouraged to contact their local retailer for additional information regarding the launch.
  • Tedros Mengiste, chief operating officer of Genesis Motor North America, said the vehicle "marks an exciting new chapter for Genesis as we expand our lineup to meet the evolving needs and passions of our customers." The statement reflects the brand's commitment to performance-focused innovation.
