A new day of national strike takes place on Thursday 12 March in Belgium, organized to protest the reforms undertaken by the government led by Prime Minister Bart De Wever. The organizing unions denounce the federal "policy of socio-economic demolition of the government". Many sectors are affected while the organizers are already boasting of the success of the demonstration organized in the streets of the capital.
Strike activities continue even after the protests.
Tens of thousands of Belgians demonstrated today in Brussels, as part of a general strike due to the social policy of the government, according to the Belgian media.
