General Compute adds Cerebras chips to its Nvidia fleet to chase faster AI coding agents

General Compute, a San Francisco neocloud less than half a year old, signed a multi-year deal to deploy Cerebras wafer-scale chips alongside its existing Nvidia and SambaNova hardware starting in Q1 2027. The move targets AI coding agents, whose long chains of sequential inference calls make raw speed a direct cost lever as TSMC and memory price hikes squeeze every AI company's margins.
