The Gorizia Financial Guard has discovered 107 resident workers in Romania who were undeclared in the wine sector in northeastern Italy. According to investigators, in some cases, people would have been paid less than 3 euros net per hour. The company was registered in Romania, but according to the Finance Guard it was managed by Friuli and provided labour to local wineries. The survey was based on the line on the caporalate in the countryside between the provinces of Udine and Gorizia.
