The foreign ministers of Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Jordan, and Indonesia met in Istanbul, hosted by Hakan Fidan. The Gaza ceasefire process was on the agenda. Speaking after the summit, where the "task force" to be deployed in Gaza was discussed, Fidan said, "Work on the stabilization force is ongoing. We are ready for any sacrifice."
Several Muslim states have called for the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas to be respected. It is also agreed that steps must be taken to achieve a two-state solution for a lasting peace, said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan after a meeting of seven majority Muslim states in Istanbul. The two-state solution means the peaceful coexistence of Israel and a Palestinian state.
