- WilmerHale conducted more than 50 interviews with current and former employees and found the foundation's primary engagement with Epstein involved a proposed donor-advised fund and a grant to the International Peace Institute.
- Regarding the proposed DAF, the report found the foundation did not pursue it after Epstein misrepresented potential donors' "knowledge of and willingness to commit to the DAF."
- Following these findings, The Gates Foundation implemented a more centralized vetting process for potential donors and partners, and committed to "expand its policies" regarding conflicts of interest.
