The organization for Dutch petrol station owners, Drive, has reacted with unpleasant surprise to the excise duty reduction announced by Germany. Due to the price difference, petrol station owners in the border region risk losing customers again starting in October. "We saw customers gradually returning, but that is now being undone," says Drive chairman Martin van Eijk.
