The Windom Fire Department responded to a report of a gas leak late Friday morning in Windom. The leak was reported near the intersection of First Avenue and Seventh Street, where a street construction project is currently taking place. Because of the leak, McDonald’s, Duffy’s and Scooter’s — all in the area near the leak — were evacuated and closed until the leak is repaired.
