There is a gas leak in Rijen. An increased gas level was measured Friday afternoon in the sewer system and at a house on Saksen Weimarstraat. The house had to be evacuated as a result. Enexis is working to locate the leak. The fire department was called in because they smelled gas. Measurements were taken there. The police have cordoned off part of the neighborhood. The cause of the leak is still unknown.
