A French court has sentenced Othman Garrido, a former Islamic State member, to 30 years in prison for his involvement in murders committed in Syria. Garrido was convicted for a public execution in 2015 but was acquitted of acting as the executioner.
The last day of the hearing of the former member of Daesh is that of the pleadings, of the requisitions of the national anti-terrorist prosecutor's office, and of the last words of the one who assures to be repented. First part: the civil parties, and the long speech of the Advocate General.
The terrorist was interrogated, on Monday 21 September, in front of the Paris Special Assize Court, about his participation in public beheadings in Syria. If he looked lucidly at the man he was then, he was much more confused about his involvement in these crimes.
