From next year's garages and sides will have a ten-cent deposit reimbursable, with a view to strengthening recycling and reducing CO2 emissions by 109 000 tonnes.
The new Deposit and Return System (SDR) will allow you to return packages in automatic machines, collection points and cookies, offering multiple forms of refund and boosting the circular economy in Portugal.
Carlsberg has obtained an interpretation from the Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship allowing its returnable bottles to be exempt from the new deposit-refund system. The Żywiec Group is already awaiting a similar decision, and the industry is saying bluntly: the obligations imposed by the law are absurd and threaten multi-million-dollar costs.
