The A9 motorway is cut off, on Thursday 2 July 2026, towards Spain after exit No. 34 Agde, because of a fire near Béziers, in the Hérault. Circulation completely interrupted, in both directions, between Roquemaure in the Gard and Orange.
For approximately 15 hours, the Gard firefighters have been engaged for a vegetation fire along the A9 motorway, at the edge of the area of Roquemaure Nord.
At around 1445, this Thursday, the firefighters of the Gard were called for a "relatively important" vegetation fire which started on the edge of the A9 motorway at the height of the commune of Roquemaure. Quickly on the spot, firefighters protected several houses directly threatened by the fire, the latter spreading towards a residential area.
