The decision, adopted by the National Energy Regulatory Agency, comes in the context of the risk of losing the right to carry out this activity after 31 July, because it has not separated natural gas supply and transport. For final consumers only the name of the supplier will be changed on the facts.

In the context of imminent risks regarding the continuity of natural gas supplies, the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) decided, in the public meeting of May 23, 2025, to designate SA "Energocom" as a supplier with public service obligations for a period of three years.
