G20 ministers caution against "inflexible" regulation on emerging tech
Ministers from the Group of 20 countries ended a two-day meeting in North Carolina on Wednesday after adopting a statement cautioning against "inflexible" regulation on emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence.
Ministers from the G20 group and the leaders of major artificial intelligence (AI) companies engaged in heated debates at the recently concluded conference in the United States.
The G20 supported a more flexible regulation for Artificial Intelligence, based on the Carolina Principles promoted by the U.S., which seek to reduce new regulatory burdens.
