On the 15th, Japan Airlines (JAL) began an in-flight meal menu using Fuyu persimmons, a specialty of Gifu prefecture, called the “king of sweet persimmons.” What was adopted was the unique brand “Umai KAKI Fuyu,” which was launched by a startup company by Gifu University students. It is characterized by its crisp texture and juicy sweetness, and is expensive in international first class flights departing from Haneda until 2/28
