In premarket trading Tuesday, Nvidia gained 1.3% and Meta rose 1%, while Micron added 2.3% as traders braced for quarterly earnings reports from multiple tech firms.
Investors will monitor consumer confidence data at 10 a.m. Tuesday for signs of consumer resilience, while Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh speaks at the Fed's Jackson Hole symposium on Friday.
Doug Beath, global equity strategist at Wells Fargo Investment Institute, said "record corporate earnings driven by AI capital spending" remain positive, though he warned this week's events may accelerate volatility.
