The fourth game of the seven-game match for the 83rd Meijin title was played on the 17th and 18th in Usa City, Oita Prefecture. After a thousand moves and a rematch, the challenger, Takuya Nagase (32), 9th dan, who played first, defeated Meijin Sota Fujii (22), who holds seven titles: Ryuo, Oza, Kiō, Ōsho, and Kisei, in 141 moves to win his first victory of the series.
